Creating A Personal Health Profile - 2026 Words

Throughout the semester we were required to create a Personal Health Profile (PHP), Healthier at Holman defines a Personal Health Profile as a standardised self-report health questionnaire used to provide you with an evaluation of your overall health and quality of life.(Healthier at Holman, c2015) Through the development of a PHP you can help understand your health in a deeper way, thus allowing you to analysis how factors such as eating and exercise patterns contribute to your overall health. Through the use of a PHP you can also see patterns in how relationships affect over all health. This tool can also be used to track drug and alcohol use and identify the times when these may have a greater impact on your health. The PHP can also help with the identification of risk factors for a number of diseases, this in turn can help by changing your habits to create a better lifestyle. Health can define in many different ways. Dr Roslyn Franklin defines health as â€Å"A multilayered social and ecological phenomenon created in the context of community life. (Dr. Franklin. R, C 2016) The dimensions of health include physical, mental, emotional, social, spiritual and social health. During the first week our reflections included what we believed being healthy meant. I listed enjoying being the ideal weight for my height, participating in regular exercise and eating the right foods. This is how I defined being healthy.
